Week One Complete

The first week is over and it was absolutely AMAZING! God worked In great ways but the weekend is something I could not wait for. A time to relax and a time to EXPLORE!!!

This Weekend we went to the river just to relax. It was a blast! Gods creation is so amazing. It reminded me of family vacations to yosemite and floating down the river.

All the friendships, late night food runs, and bonding time are times that will never be forgotten and happen often (Its all the loss of sleep). Even though we have only been together for one week it feels like I have known some of these people for a life time! Saying goodbye will not be easy. This week God has shown up in some amazing ways and I can not wait to see what he has in store for week two.  I am so blessed to have this job! This weekend of rest and adventure was the perfect thing.  I am ready and open to see how God works in this up coming week.

This is not what I thought

Yesterday I got a phone call, but not a good one. Heaven got another angel, My grandpa Cliff. He was SO legit!! He will be dearly missed but he lived a full life. As I sat and listened to the news someone I didn't even know came and surrounded and comforted me. Then someone who I have gotten to know these past 3 days took me outside and prayed for me. The rest of the night I was surrounded by people who just loved and cared for me. The majority of these people have only known me for 3 days. My mind was and is blown. Later on that night I walked into in my room and the CIY staff had written me a note, given me a t-shirt, and some candy. Overwhelmed doesn't even begin to express how I feel. God has shown up in a time when I need him the most. Its crazy to see all this happen. I am SO thankful for all this love and support around me. Again I love this job and the people I am around. I know they would do anything for me. I am in awe in what they have done for me and how God has shown up. I have never felt this loved before and I can't express how thankful I am for everything! Your prayers are felt! Thank you!!

Please pray for my family during this time of loss. Also please pray for the college reps/CIY staff we are all super tired. Pray we finish this week strong.

I am having a blast and loving every minuet of what I am doing highs and lows.

What have I got myself into

Night one we were up until 3am setting up for the conference. The semi truck pulled up and the truck seemed as if it kept going and going and going BUT that was the easy part. Once we got inside we started on different jobs. This is a well oiled machine but very intense! Good attitudes and no complaining got us through. The next morning we were up at 8am. Yep sleep is not something I am not going to get but that is fine. I am going to learn to like coffee. I am blown away at CIY, night one was so rad! God is moving not only in my life but in many others.

Fears have to be set aside and trust in God has to be at the for front. If this doesn't happen then I will not be able to do my job to the best of my abilities. I am can not tell you enough how much I am enjoying what I am doing. I love the people I am meeting, the ways I can already see myself growing, and this adventure God had blessed me with.

Prayer Request:

- Health: We are staying up late. Pray that we do not get sick and have energy.
- Continue to pray that God moves in the campers here

Admissions Rep

This summer I have the opportunity to recruit for my college, Hope International University. I will be traveling to Colorado and Oregon. We drive everywhere! There are two teams of people. In Colorado the four of us are together and after the three weeks there we split up. My partner Ashley and I will be off to Oregon and the other two, Jeremiah and Tabitha will be traveling around California.

We will be at CIY (Christ in Youth) conferences for the majority of the time. The other times we will be at high school church camps. Out job is to hang out with the students, help the camp/conference get done with what ever needs to get done, and represent our school. This is going to be extremely fun but at the same time extremely exhausting!

This blog is intended
1. To prove I am working not just having fun
2. Keep y'all updated on what is going on
3. Prayer and praises as we travel and work with students.

Some things to be praying for:

1.) Safety: Continue to travel safely to Colorado. We have made it to the hotel with no problems.
2.) Health: Not get any really bad headaches or migraines while out on the road.
3.) For the first wave of students coming to the CIY.
